Nepal is a nation between China
and India, in South Asia. It is a huge outdoor adventure playground with some
of the best trekking trails in the world. Tamang Heritage Trail is a trekking course developed in Nepal. This trial that is
hiking is near Kathmandu, which is the capital city of Nepal and the first
city that you visit when you come here. It takes about 7-8 hours from Kathmandu
to reach the starting point of the trek.
The trek ends and starts at the same
place that is Syabrubesi. This trek provides the trekkers the opportunity to be
aware of the Tamang community's and their culture, along with the perspective
of natural beauties at various aspects. The trekkers can also take pleasure in
the healing baths on their way.
The locals of this trekking course
largely belong to the Tamang community. It is said that the Tamang’s would be the
people visiting Nepal for settlement. It is thought that the ancestors of those
current days' Tamang people were the sect individuals who flew from Tibet to
live in Nepal. They then changed their Tibetan caste into Tamang and started
staying in Nepal permanently. The culture and customs of the Tamang people
residing with this trail resemble that of the Tibetan people living across
the Nepal - China border. Lhosar is celebrated by
community people living on and near this trekking trail.
The other important
festivals are Buddha Jayanti, Dashain, and Tihar. They enjoy the festivals by
doing a dance called 'Selo'. The instruments named as'Dhampu' are performed with
the gents of the Tamang community whereas the dancing is performed by women and
children’s. Trekkers trekking with this season for this course taste the
various different cuisine of Tamang community as well as they can also enjoy
the fun of Selo dance.
During this trek, the trekkers can
enjoy a wonderful view of Langtang ranges too since they can enjoy the wonderful
scenes of the forests covered with reddish Rhododendron blossoms which are also
the national flower of Nepal. Blooming on this trail's hills make the hills
appear reddish, which becomes even more attractive. All these help to make the
trek more beautiful and more satisfying. The trek is short and not is a
trekking course in comparison with other treks and is hard as well. Thus, this
trek will certainly suit each trekker. This area was formerly enlisted before
but has been recently opened.
Since the trail moves across the
Tamang village the trekkers have the opportunity to enjoy a social life with
the local people. They're also able to interact with the friendly and
hospitable locals and learn their new way of life, languages, culture,
tradition, etc... It's not always the tourists who learn, the locals too get
the chance to learn new ideas, tourist's society, their culture, etc as well. Interactions
and the closeness between the local people and the tourists bring the chance of
eradicating orthodox as well as superstitious behavior from the culture.
